Obituary: Durham Wendell Outlaw

Durham Wendell Outlaw, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Wendell was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired with 30 years of service with UPS. Wendell was a member of the Richard Caswell Masonic Lodge and Lenoir County Shrine Club. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bodell and Hazel Outlaw and wife, Patricia “Pat” Maddox Outlaw.

Wendell is survived by his son, Neal Outlaw and wife Julie; grandchildren, Michael Outlaw and Tanner Outlaw; fur grand-dog, Sydney; stepdaughter, Alicia Smith and husband Sandy; stepson, Alan Grady and wife Lynnette; step-grandchildren, Alex Smith, Rory Smith, and Brooks Grady; sisters, Racheal Thompson and husband, AC, and Charlotte Dupree.

Memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home with John Mark Fussell officiating. Burial will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at East Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro with military rites.
