As a member of the Department of Social Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for a Staff Development Specialist. Candidates in this classification plan, design, implement, coordinate, conduct, and evaluate a flexible agency training program based on the training needs of the Department of Social Services Income Maintenance staff, with a primary emphasis in all Economic Services programs including, Medicaid, Food & Nutrition Services, Child Care Subsidy, Work First Family Assistance, General Assistance, Energy Assistance and NC FAST.

Minimum Requirements:
• Income Maintenance Program experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three years of experience in a progressive training or teaching role.
• Experience must also include organizing training events, assessing needs, counseling and evaluating sessions.
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Pass a criminal background check
