Deep Run man arrested in Pink Hill for multiple break-ins
A Deep Run man was arrested in Pink Hill last week after he allegedly broke into a building and vehicle, stole child’s belongings and spray-painted multiple items.
Christopher James Houston, 33, received seven felony and misdemeanor charges following an investigation by Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office officials.
On Friday, LCSO patrol units responded to the area of H.C. Turner Road and Lauradale Lane in Pink Hill on a report of a suspicious person. While deputies were on their way, they received a report the suspicious person was possibly breaking into a building and vehicle. Deputies arrived to the area and located Houston behind a residence damaging property. Houston was detained and deputies started investigating the incident.
During the investigation, deputies learned Houston broke into an outbuilding and stole a bicycle. He left that residence, went to a second residence and stole a child’s scooter before damaging a vehicle.
Houston left that scene and went to a third residence, where he broke into a vehicle and stole money from inside the vehicle. At the third residence, Houston spray-pained multiple items and was located when deputies arrived on the scene.
Houston was transported to the Lenoir County Magistrates Office for processing and charged with:
· One count of felony breaking and/or entering
· One count of felony larceny after breaking and/or entering
· One count of felony breaking and/or entering motor vehicle with theft
· One count of misdemeanor larceny
· One count of misdemeanor possession of stolen goods and/or property
· Two counts of injury to personal property
He received a secured bond for the charges.
