Greene County Middle School to Host 2nd Annual Spring Fling

Snow Hill - On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Greene County Middle School will host its second annual Spring Fling. The focus of this night is to bring together the community, families, and staff all to focus on fun and getting ready for the NC End of Grade Tests.

This year will feature Activities/academic activities, Door Prizes, Meet the teacher, Summer Reading, Summer Bridge and Reading book Giveaway, Food Trucks, and more. Each content area will feature a fun family activity focused on reviewing the content for the EOG. Teachers will also share test-taking tips and fun ways to keep students engaged to finish the year strong.

Community partners will also be at the school to share resources and other opportunities for families to connect with over the summer. The Neuse Regional Library will also be present to share Summer Reading Program information for students as well as programs that are being offered at the library for all age groups.

Principal Phil Cook shared “Join us for an engaging Title 1/Spring Fling night hosted by GCMS! It's a fantastic opportunity for our students and families to explore instructional strategies, partake in exciting family games, and connect with the school community. We welcome everyone to come out, ask questions, and enjoy a memorable evening together. We can't wait to see you there!”

Each year GCMS hosts 2 major events for families, 1 in the fall and 1 in the spring and the whole staff pitches in to engage the school community to make a bigger impact on the lives of the students.
