PERRY NAMED "LEGISLATOR OF THE YEAR" BY NC YOUTH OUTDOOR ENGAGEMENT COMMISSION

I am deeply honored to receive this award from the North Carolina Youth Outdoor Engagement Commission. It's crucial that we encourage our youth to engage with the great outdoors, fostering a love for nature and an understanding of conservation. Together, we can continue to create opportunities that inspire the next generation to explore, appreciate, and protect our natural heritage.

GOLDEN LEAF AWARDS $6M GRANT TO GLOBAL TRANSPARK IN KINSTON, NC

I am thrilled to see the significant investment in the Global TransPark with the $6 million grant from the Golden LEAF Foundation. This project not only promises to create 444 high-paying jobs but also strengthens our region’s role in national defense by supporting the maintenance of C-130 transport planes. This collaboration between the state and the Navy highlights our commitment to economic development and job creation in rural areas, ensuring a brighter future for our communities.

KINSTON AWARDED $3MM FOR ADKIN BRANCH FLOOD MITIGATION PROJECT

I am proud to have advocated for this $3 million in state funding for the Adkin Branch Flood Mitigation Project. Flood mitigation is crucial for Eastern North Carolina communities, as it protects homes and property from the devastating impacts of storms. This funding will significantly enhance Kinston's resilience, ensuring a safer future for our residents.
