Help wanted: Lenoir County Government - Maintenance Mechanic V

As a Maintenance Mechanic V with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The Buildings and Grounds Department is seeking motivated candidates who can supervise skilled workers in a general maintenance setting. Candidates for employment must function at a supervisory level assisting in managerial functions such as planning, budgeting, setting work standards, and training. Employees in this class must be able to work independently in performing assigned tasks. This position is considered essential and requires reporting to work for inclement weather and as other needs arise within the department.

Minimum Requirements:

- 21 years of age

- Possess a valid North Carolina Driver License

- May require certification by the Environmental Protection Agency

- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

- Pass a Criminal Background Check; Subject to random drug testing
