Kinston Police Department investigates armed robbery at Dollar Tree

On July 30, 2024, at 10:00 pm, the Kinston Police Department's C-Squad responded to an armed robbery report at the Dollar Tree located at 4151 W Vernon Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with store employees who reported that a black male in dark clothing entered the store, displayed a firearm, and demanded money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the area. At the time of the robbery, no customers were inside the business.

The Kinston Police Department's Investigation Division arrived on the scene and is currently conducting a thorough investigation.
