Police arrest man hiding behind cone after Kinston break-in

On August 29, 2024, officers on B-Squad responded B-Squad responded to a report of a breaking & entering at a residence on Terminal Street. Officers conducted an investigation and with the help of the Department of Adult Corrections they were able to identify Shaquille Bryant (30 of Kinston) as the person responsible.

Officers located Bryant in the area a short time later attempting to hide behind a traffic cone and a fence on the 600 block of Perry Street. Bryant was arrested and placed in the LC Jail for the following:

-Breaking & Entering

-Larceny After the Fact

-Possession of Stolen Property

-Sex Offender on Child Premises
