Kinston man arrested following narcotics investigation

A Kinston man who was arrested following a narcotics investigation by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit and the State Bureau of Investigation in 2023 has been sentenced.

Carlos Earl Field pled guilty Monday to trafficking and selling of Fentanyl and was sentenced to 90-120 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections.

He was arrested on July 26, 2023 after LCSO detectives and SBI agents made multiple controlled purchases of Fentanyl from him in the Lenoir County area. During the investigation, a total of 68 grams of Fentanyl were seized.
