LCSO release statement on school threats
The Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to receive unspecified threats against schools in Lenoir County.
The LCSO has investigated multiple reports of threats against Lenoir County Schools. So far, none of the threats have been substantiated. All threats reported have originated in other counties throughout Eastern North Carolina.
At this time, there have been no direct threats made to Lenoir County Schools.
The LCSO will continue to investigate any and all reports of threats against Lenoir County Schools with all available resources and prosecute any and all persons involved in making threats against schools in Lenoir County.
“We continue to work closely with Lenoir County Public Schools to ensure the safety and security of all students and staff,” Lenoir County Sheriff Jackie Rogers said.
