Kinston Police Department investigates stolen lottery tickets
The Kinston Police Department (KPD) has been actively investigating a case involving stolen lottery tickets. Following a thorough investigation, detectives obtained multiple warrants for two individuals: Alexis Darden, 26, of Goldsboro, NC, and Marquell Gibbs, 32, of Lenoir County.
Darden faces charges including two counts of felony conspiracy, two counts of larceny by employee, and obtaining property by false pretense. Gibbs has been charged with two counts of felony conspiracy and obtaining property by false pretense.
KPD’s B-Squad successfully located and arrested Gibbs, serving the warrants. He was subsequently placed in the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.
Wayne County Sheriff's Office, NC located Darden and served her warrants. Darden was placed in the Wayne County Jail under a secured bond.
