Salary: $31,200 - $36,000 Annually

 Instructional Assistant – Greene County Center

 The Instructional Assistant – Greene County Center provides administrative support for all aspects of the center to ensure each department has what they need to provide high quality service to students and the surrounding community.  

 Qualifications

·         Associate degree from a regionally accredited institution is required

·         Skills in keyboarding, public relations, communications, and problem-solving skills

·         Organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy are imperative

·         A working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required

Working Conditions

·         Office environment 

·         Infrequently lifting and carrying items up to 15 lbs 

·         Infrequently bending and twisting at the waist 

·         Evening and weekend work hours 

·         Frequently sitting at a desk or workstation using a computer display, keyboard, mouse and telephone 

·         Infrequently traveling between buildings on campus, between campuses and to off-campus sites 

·         Occasional evening or weekend duties may be required

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The duties of the Instructional Assistant include, but are not limited to: 

·         Provide for and ensure the security, accuracy, and maintenance of all permanent records of all currently and formerly enrolled students 

·         Organize and maintain records and files in accordance to division standards and enter data into the College’s data management systems (Colleague, Advansys, and FundFive)

·         Generate sections for any class offered at or through the Greene County Center to include corrections classes

·         Register students as needed for enrollment into class and provide receipt rosters to coordinators 

·         Finalize and verify attendance and grades for each section or class

·         Key student registration and demographic data into Colleague or ADVANSYS, and prepare contract files and personnel files for monthly payroll 

·         Provide advanced secretarial, administrative, and clerical support to the Division to ensure efficient daily office operations

·         Maintain an inventory of office supplies and order office, instructional, custodial supplies, and equipment as needed through E-Procurement 

·         Interact with a broad range of faculty, staff, students and external groups 

·         Answer telephones, transfer calls, maintain voicemail, and greet and direct students and visitors to the appropriate area

·         Maintain a contact list of vendors for facility repairs and contacting them as needed

·         Supervise part-time clerical and student work-study staff
