Obituary: Mary McRae Dale Parrott
Mary McRae Dale Parrott of Kinston, NC, born October 20, 1948, entered into the loving arms of Jesus on February 27, 2025. She was pre-deceased by her parents, Martha Stanley Dale and Benjamin Edwin Dale Jr. and a great-granddaughter Avani McRae Bass. Married for 56 years, she was the beloved wife of J. Allen Parrott and the treasured mother of Martha Parrott Aycock (James) and Mary Christian Parrott Maines (Joey) all of Kinston. Her 4 “treasures” Savannah Russell Hayes, Landon Parrott Hayes, Samuel Dale Aycock, and Lydia Jane Aycock knew her as Ga Ga, Gra Gra, and The Woman. She was the sister of Benjamin Edwin Dale III (Karen) of Cleveland, TN and sister-in-law of James H. Parrott (Jo) of Kinston. Additionally, she leaves behind nieces Melody Dale Vagnini (Steven), Caroline Alice Dale & Hunter Parrott Burris (Phil), nephews Benjamin Edwin Dale IV and Jacob Fletcher Parrott, greatly loved cousins, her Friday Ladies Bible Study Group, many special friends as well as her beloved canine companion, Oreo.
Visitation will be held at Faith Fellowship Church on Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 4-6 pm, and her homecoming service will also be held at Faith Fellowship Church on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 2:00 pm. Private family burial.
