Traffic stop leads to arrest of fugitive wanted from Georgia

February 5, 2025 – Officers from KPD’s B-Squad conducted a traffic stop on Joyner Drive, leading to the arrest of a fugitive with multiple outstanding warrants.

During the stop, the driver, later identified as 29-year-old Corsean Hatch of Lithonia, GA, provided officers with several false names. When asked to exit the vehicle, Hatch attempted to push past officers but was quickly taken into custody.

A records check revealed that Hatch had multiple active warrants in North Carolina, along with a fugitive warrant from two counties in Georgia. Among the charges listed in his indictments were Fleeing to Elude and Statutory Rape.

In addition to the outstanding warrants, KPD officers have charged Hatch with Identity Theft and Resisting a Public Officer. He is currently being held at the Lenoir County Jail, awaiting extradition to Georgia.
