Beaufort County felon arrested in Lenoir County for firearm possession
A convicted Beaufort County felon was arrested Friday by the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office for being in possession of a firearm.
Kirby Patrick Braxton Jr., 51, was pulled over by LCSO patrol deputies after they observed his vehicle with an equipment violation. During the traffic stop, deputies found a firearm in Braxton’s possession. A records check revealed he was also a convicted felon.
Braxton was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm by a felon; he was also issued a citation for the equipment violation. He received a $20,000 secured bond.
