DWI arrests made at KPD checking station
In the early morning hours of June 1, 2025, KPD’s B-Squad was conducting a checking station on King Street when two individuals were arrested for Driving While Impaired.
At approximately 12:43 AM, Zachary Sumner of Pink Hill, NC, was arrested for DWI and booked into the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.
Around 2:00 AM, Jodesius King, 42, of Kinston, was also arrested for DWI. In addition, he had two outstanding Orders for Arrest out of Wayne County. He was taken to the Lenoir County Jail under a secured bond.
