We are so very happy to offer FRESH BUCKS at our market. Fresh Bucks are funded by a grant awarded to us by RAFI(Rural Advancement Foundation International) , which enables the market to give free tokens to match an EBT purchase up to $20.00. In other words, spend up to $20.00 from an EBT card and receive up to $20 in free tokens, for a total of $40.00 for one to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables.
Strawberries and asparagus are king right now. If you haven't tried any of this years' crop, you are really missing a taste treat. Several recipes for asparagus can be found by scrolling down.
This Saturday, we welcome as our guests, the Woodington FFA . The members will be selling red poinsettias and white ones, as well. Let's try to support their effort so they may raise dues money and tee shirts.
The North Lenoir FFA Horticulture department is having its annual fall plant sale. We will be featuring pansies and snapdragons grown by The North Lenoir Horticulture department. We will also have available mums in both 8 and 12' pots. All proceeds benefit North Lenoir FFA and Horticulture by providing hands on learning opportunities and leadership opportunities for students.

Isn't this what we've all been looking for? Sweet, juicy strawberries and wonderfully flavored fresh asparagus! So delightfully delicious! We are so happy to be able to announce that the farmers market will be open for the 2020 season on Saturday, April 11. We have been studying ways to make our market a safe and healthy place to shop.
Isn't it exciting?! Yes, that is really a strawberry field and of course, we are all waiting for those juicy red berries to appear on the Farmers Market vendors' stands!
Charles Norfleet will return this week market with Irene's Cheesecakes. He baker, will bring delicious pumpkin cheesecake along with sweet potato, strawberry, blueberry, cherry and plain cheesecakes. Stop by for a sample, take one home or place an order for a holiday goodie.
If you are a BLT lover, as so many of us are, come down to buy some of the last heirloom tomatoes of the season.
We have Heirloom tomatoes, both German Johnson and Cherokee Purple, sweet corn, white, yellow and bi-colored - shucked and unshucked. Cantaloupes honey hew melons.
