SAFE fundraiser for domestic violence

SAFE of Lenoir and Greene County is hosting a BINGO night fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at The Exchange at 121 West Gordon Street in Kinston. Bingo players will have the chance to win gift baskets, jewelry, college football tickets and other prizes.

Lenoir County SPCA seeks funds for new shelter

“We have been raising money quietly for about 10 years,” Lenoir County SPCA President Jerry Henderson said. “Our current facility was built in 1978. The way we treat animals has changed a lot in 40 years. (Our current facility) is not big enough, it's too expensive to operate and no longer meets our needs.”

LCC announces golf classic sponsors

The Lenoir Community College Golf Classic is the largest fundraiser of the year for the LCC Foundation and helps support the general scholarship fund. The 17th annual LCC Golf Classic is scheduled for Thursday, November 1st at the Kinston Country Club.
