The Greene County Board of Elections will meet on Wednesday, July 20, in the Commissioners' Meeting Room at the Greene County Operations Center at 6 p.m. to establish the One-Stop early voting hours and locations for the general election in November 2022.
The Greene County Board of Elections on Monday, April 4, 2022, and on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, will conduct logic and accuracy (L&A) tests on voting systems that will be used in the upcoming election on May 17, 2022.
Candidate filing for the 2022 statewide primary and rescheduled municipal elections resumed at 8 a.m. Thursday, February 24, and will run through noon March 4, 2022. List is updated as of February 28, 2022 at 11:00 am.
According to the State Board of Elections, here are the most recent 2022 candidate filings in our area. As of today, the Supreme Court of North Carolina has halted candidate filings and delayed the primary until Tuesday, May 17, 2022.
The Greene County Board of Elections office will be moving to their new office location at 104 Hines Street, Snow Hill, NC, the week of November 29 to December 3, 2021. The new office location will provide easier access for voters and more security measures for election officials.

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2020. On this day, registered voters in North Carolina may vote at their assigned polling place. This is different than early voting, where eligible individuals may cast a ballot at any early voting site in their county.
Two seats could change hands in the Snow Hill Board of Commissioners race. Incumbents Lorrine Washington and Donnell Hagans are up for re-election. Their challengers are Michael Rhodes and Diane Jones Andrews.
