On June 4, 2022, a charity motorcycle ride starting at Boneyard Harley-Davidson in Winterville will parade in Kinston through Caswell Developmental Center and Spring Arbor. The ride will benefit RADD (Raising Awareness for the Developmentally Disabled).

Last Sunday, May 3rd, my family and I participated in a very awe-inspiring Parade at Kinston Veterans Home. We took our place in the long line of decorated cars, trucks, fire engines, EMS trucks, and motorcycles. We were there to salute our heroes, our veterans for their dedicated service to our country. We were there to thank the Veterans Home Staff.

UPDATE: North Carolina State Veterans Home family members received a message late this morning stating, “This patient is no longer located in the center. Enhanced infection control protocols are being followed, staff members are utilizing appropriate protective equipment and we have increased the frequency of our cleaning procedures.”
ORIGINAL: According to family members of three separate residents at the Kinston-based North Carolina State Veterans Home, there is at least one positive COVID-19 case there. One family reports they received a phone call from Human Resources last night as notification of the case.
On Saturday, December 7th, 2019, the Goldsboro Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, visited the North Carolina State Veteran’s Home in Kinston, NC to honor the residents this Christmas season
