On Saturday, September 24, 2022, over 150 members of the Tanglewood Church will launch out in twelve separate groups to serve the community in an outreach effort called THE BIG SERVE. There will be handymen taking care of the elderly by completing household or yard projects they simply can’t do on their own.
In the summer of 2019, Billy Jarrell felt a call to start a new ministry focused on bringing automotive technicians and other “car geeks” together in a way that not only made spiritual connections but also allowed them the opportunity to serve others with their talents. The C.A.R.S. mission focus is to live out Colossians 3:17 “and whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Local Gospel Legend, Ed O’Neal recently released his memoir, ‘One Old Man Can’t Be All That Bad’, a compilation of stories from his time singing with and leading The Dixie Melody Boys for over 56 years. O’Neal will be signing his new release on Saturday, August 22nd from 9 am - 12 noon in the lobby at Tanglewood Church of God in Kinston, NC. Social distancing will be followed.
Christian country band Jackson Heights will hold a benefit concert Saturday at Tanglewood Church of God in Kinston to support Hope Restorations.
