Marketing and DECA students from North Lenoir High School visited the Neuse News World Headquarters and Brandon Potter’s Art 105 Studios Wednesday.
The annual Salute! program held each year around Veteran's Day in Kinston has made a few changes for this year. The annual festivities to honor veterans a bit early will commence Friday.
The Partnership for Children of Lenoir and Greene County is holding their first annual “Touch a Truck For Treats” at Grainger Stadium on October 26th from 10am to 1pm.
"We'll not only be playing classic songs but also tracing their history and influence," Thompson said. "Many of the songs in our set are listed in Rolling Stone magazine’s 500 Songs That Made Rock and Roll," Thompson said. "We'll talk about the writers, performers and geographical associations of the songs."

In these photos, you will see some disturbing images of this town which sits near Wallace and Chinquapin. I saw anything from cows to dead chickens floating around. So many people lost so much. The most interesting images were the ones of the cows on the front porch of one of the homes that sits right off Highway 41. It’s going to be a long road ahead in terms of recovery but I am confident they will rebuild.

Floodwaters from The Trent River are receding as of Tuesday, however many Trenton roads are still impassable. More than 250 residents were evacuated from the area and dozens of buildings were flooded, some beyond repair.
Here was the scene around the Neuseway Nature Center and the Baron & The Beef / Kelly’s Mill Pond areas on Sunday morning.
