The South Lenoir FFA Chapter carried twenty-six students to the 95th North Carolina FFA Convention, competing in leadership development events and participating in workshops and general sessions. Many of our students were recognized for their hard work, bringing home great memories and gold medals.

Western Carolina University congratulates more than 1,400 students named to the Chancellor's List for Spring 2024. To qualify for this honor, students must achieve a GPA of 3.8 or higher while completing 12 or more credit hours.
Trey Cash, Economic Development Director, has achieved the status of North Carolina Certified Economic Developer.
The Golden LEAF Foundation announced that 215 rural North Carolina students were selected to receive up to a $14,000 Golden LEAF Scholarship, including seven in Lenoir County and one in Greene County.

School of Rock The Musical is based on the Paramount movie written by Mike White with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. This electric show follows the journey of Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck musician who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.
Ambleside Preparatory Academy, a new hybrid school in Kinston, has quickly filled its registration for the upcoming academic year, drawing interest from families seeking a blend of homeschooling and traditional education. Founded by Joanna Pike, the school aims to merge the benefits of both educational approaches within a Christian, disciple-making framework.
