LCSO: Everett caught in Graham this afternoon

Ryan Keith Everett was taken into custody this afternoon by the Graham Police Department. The 38-year-old from La Grange had been sought by area law enforcement since Thursday evening, when he allegedly committed a robbery in Greene County, stole two firearms and shot two individuals on Wheat Swamp Road in Lenoir County.

Mike Parker: Former mayor led through service

I had not seen him for a good while. One Sunday, he entered King’s Restaurant and took a seat in a booth. I had to go speak to him. He smiled at me, and we chatted for a few minutes. Buddy made a deep impression on me from the time I first met him. He seemed filled with positive vibes and energy. To me, he represented what is best in Kinston and Lenoir County.

East to West Christmas Gift Drive Launched November 5th

In response to the recent disaster in Western North Carolina, an East to West Christmas drive has been launched to bring holiday cheer to families affected by the tragedy. With the support of The Hesed Place, Sara and James Crozier, and Georgiana Bowman, more than 17 collection sites have been set up across Eastern NC to collect donations of wrapped gifts, toys, and other items for children affected by Hurricane Helene. 

Snow Hill Primary "Terrific Kid" Awards

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards.  Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal.  On Fridays, these students are presented with an award and are congratulated for their hard work.  Below are Snow Hill Primary's last Terrific Kid Awards!
