Mr. Tony Allen Hill, age 45, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 8th, 2023. A service to remember and celebrate Tony’s life will be held 3 PM Tuesday, September 12th, at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Hank Jarman officiating. The family will greet friends and extended relatives at the cemetery immediately following the service and other times at the home of his mother, “Bunny” Hill.

With November right around the corner, the veterans community is preparing to host a wide variety of events in Lenoir County the week before Veterans Day. Elysian Players Production of Disney's The Little Mermaid is coming to the Turner Stage in Briley Auditorium at Lenoir Community College Sept. 22 – 24 and Sept. 29 – Oct. 1. The production is presented in partnership with the LCC.

Officers on C-Squad conducted a traffic stop with Seth Griffin (22) related to a Driving While Impaired investigation. The investigation lead to Griffin's arrest for Driving While Impaired and Possession of Methamphetamine. In addition, he was also cited for additional traffic offenses. Griffin was placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond.
