Missing 16-year-old found with concealed firearm, faces multiple charges
Officers on B-Squad were searching the area of Orion Street and Chestnut Street for a 16 year old juvenile that had been reporting missing. Officers located the juvenile and served an outstanding secure custody order. The juvenile was also in possession of a concealed firearm at the time he was located. The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center for the secure custody order and officers will follow up with Juvenile Justice for additional charges for Carrying Concealed Gun & Possession of a Handgun by a Minor.
Greenville man arrested after concealed firearm found during traffic stop
Officers from KPD's D-Squad conducted a traffic stop with Tavon Copeland (28 of Greenville, NC) on Cunningham Road/Hwy 11. During the traffic stop officers conducted a probable cause search and located a concealed firearm. Copeland was arrested without incident and placed in the LC Jail under a secured bond for the following:

Snow Hill- Greene County Intermediate School recently named Nadine DeLallo, 4th and 5th Grade Math Interventions as their Teacher of the Year. DeLallo joined the staff in 2014 and has been at GCIS for most of her career.

Bucklesberry-Ruth Ellen Sutton Hooten, 91, was welcomed home on Tuesday morning, April 9, 2024. A service of love and remembrance will be held at Hickory Grove Church of Bucklesberry at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2024 with Rev. Robert Flynn and Rev. Norma Walters officiating.
