Farmer's Market update

What's at the Farmer's Market?
Local eggplant, delicious corn, shelled speckled and green butter beans, peas, string beans, heirloom tomatoes (hopefully), bell peppers, squash, zucchini, cucumbers, onions, different kinds of greens, vine-ripened tomatoes, okra, watermelon and cantaloupe, jams, dressings, pickled items and of course, free range eggs, local honey, pork skins and rinds, soaps and assorted craft items.
Upcoming events at the Farmer's Market
Saturday, Aug. 18 - National Bee Day
Members of the Neuse Beekeepers Club will be on hand with experts, literature and an observation hive which will, together, explain and demonstrate the art and science of beekeeping
Sunday, Oct. 14 - Wings Over the Neuse pick up station at the market
Oct. 18-21 - Food, Brew and Que
Saturday, Nov. 17 - Vivian Howard cooks and serves Thanksgiving sides
