NWS: Winter weather advisories expand south and east ahead of storm, snowfall expected
From the NWS:
The trend today was towards a snowier solution, so Winter Weather Advisories have been expanded south and east. The heaviest snow (with greatest impacts) will fall along and north of US 264, where 2-3" with locally higher amounts are possible.
Further south and east a slushy coating to an inch is expected though impacts are expected to remain minimal.
Strong winds and minor coastal flooding are also still expected for areas along the Outer Banks and Down East Carteret County.
