Help Wanted: (Repost) Lenoir County Health Department - Public Health Nurse Supervisor I
HIRING RANGE: $46,367 - $55,116
Primary purpose of the position: This position is to coordinate all clinical services for the betterment of the agency and staff by the following: To direct public health programs and plan for staff availability. To monitor diseases/trends in the community and adjust programs to meet the needs of the community. To schedule clinics and provide educational and assessment needs for persons served. To ensure program guidelines are met, including collecting and monitoring data, writing mandated reports and initiating changes and/or new programs in a timely manner.
Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of policies and procedures of all clinic programs. Working knowledge of all clinics. Ability to use good judgement and make independent decisions. Ability to work and deal effectively with patients, staff, and other health professionals. Ability to remain calm and function efficiently in emergency and stressful situations.
Minimum Training and Experience: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or a Master's in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in North Carolina by the N.C. Board of Nursing. Must possess a current and valid N.C. Driver's license.
