As a member of the Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office, you can make a difference! The Office is seeking candidates for a Business Officer I. Candidates in this classification have an immense responsibility to the Sheriff’s Office. A Business Officer is responsible for the organization and supervision of fiscal and budgetary operations of the Sheriff’s Office and Detention Center. An employee in this class must have thorough knowledge of principles and practices of public and business administration, and have the ability to consult with County official regarding the financial management of the Office.

Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration or four years of administrative experience in the planning and management of governmental programs
• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Pass a criminal background check
• Must be of Good Moral Character
