Christmas on the Hill returns to Pink Hill with holiday activities

The annual Christmas on the Hill festival is set to return to Pink Hill this holiday season, promising a lineup of family-friendly activities and events designed to bring the community together in celebration.

“We are excited to have a new park in town we have made into our events park,” said Pink Hill Mayor Mike Horne. “It is a 2 acre lot the town was granted back in 2005 and it was never developed. We decided to make it benefit our town. Employees have worked hard cleaning the park and running water lines and Duke energy added outdoor lights and a power pole so we have power for the events.“

The festival, organized by the Pink Hill Festival Committee, will feature a variety of attractions, including a vendor fair, food trucks, and free activities for children such as face painting, a bounce house, wagon rides, a barrel train ride, and a snow globe photo opportunity. Families can also enjoy a stroll through the Winter Wonderland Walk and participate in festive contests, including a costume contest and a gingerbread house contest.

The highlight of the festival will be the annual tree-lighting ceremony, a tradition that draws families from across the area. Santa Claus will make a special appearance, delighting children with holiday cheer and photo opportunities.

“Our Festival Committee, comprised of Jennifer Murphy, Kristen Fantini, Cierra Dunham, and Rhiley Marshburn, have been working tirelessly for months on Christmas on the Hill. With four women at the helm, I have no doubt it will be an unrivaled success,” said Pink Hill Commissioner Penny Murphy.

In addition to the activities and entertainment, local vendors will offer handmade crafts and seasonal treats, providing an opportunity for attendees to support small businesses and find unique holiday gifts.

While the full schedule of events is still being finalized, the Pink Hill Festival Committee encourages residents and visitors to mark their calendars and stay tuned for updates.

“The committee For Christmas on the Hill has put in so much work to make it happen,” said Horne. “I am so proud of our little community in all the clean up efforts and everyone coming together as one to bring so much support to our town.”
