Evelyn Dove-Coleman: Holidays Are Upon Us!
I woke up and looked at the calendar to find that we are just a few days from the holidays.
Some people have travel plans, but some are staying in. Fortunately, there are many ways to communicate with those who choose or have to stay in. Telephone calls of course are good.
My cousin Janet Dove Dail shared a video with me recently of an event I couldn't attend. It really cheered me up to be able to see all the fun they had. It was almost like being there. So, use those smart phones and tablets to video your holiday parties and dinners to share with those who can't make it.
This will be our unique way to spread holiday cheer en masse. Let's call it the "Cheer Chain."
And remember to stay active. Do your 10,000 steps daily if you can. If you can't reach that number, do what you can. Sit in your chair and pretend to ride a bicycle with your feet.
Happy Holidays everyone! I am so very grateful for the blessings I have received this year. And I am hoping for you bountiful ones in the New Year!
