Indulge in Fish Stew and Brews for a good cause
The 10th Annual Stew & Brew is set to take place on Saturday, March 9, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. This beloved community event promises a delightful fusion of savory fish stew and refreshing brews, all for a good cause.
Organized by Mother Earth Brewing and GI Joe’s Military “Living History” Museum, the event invites attendees to indulge in a variety of fish stew creations while enjoying live music provided by The Wicked Shimmies.
"Join us for the 10th Annual Stew & Brew! Whether you enjoy eating fish stew or want to showcase your version of classic Carolina fish stew, come on out!" expressed Destiny Atienza, Manager of the Tap Room at Mother Earth.
The Stew & Brew serves not only as a celebration of culinary delights but also as a means to support worthy causes. According to Atienza, "The event is put on to raise money for GI Joes and SALUTE."
Eric Cantu, a local veteran who recently passed away was remembered fondly as one of Mother Earth Brewing's best customers. He continues to be a driving force behind the event's mission. "He made an impact on everyone at Mother Earth," Atienza remarked.
Those interested in participating in the event as cook teams or sponsors are encouraged to reach out to Carol Cantu at C.Cantu@salute-gijoes.org. Tickets for the event are priced at $10 per person, which includes unlimited samples of stew and a beer ticket.
The 10th Annual Stew & Brew promises to be a memorable occasion, blending gastronomic delights with charitable giving and community spirit. Mark your calendars and join in the festivities for a day of good food, good company, and good causes.
