NWS: Hurricane Helene - Isolated tornadoes, gusty winds expected starting late Thursday, Friday

Our biggest risks have not changed from yesterday: an isolated tornado threat on Friday and strong winds over the coastal waters, especially south of Cape Hatteras.

The forecast track has changed little and we continue to expect the most significant impacts well to our west. Still, this is a LARGE storm and we will experience some impacts to eastern North Carolina.

This will be our final briefing unless conditions warrant.
