Traffic stop leads to DWI arrest

On March 4, 2025, at 2:16 PM, officers from Kinston Police Department's D-Squad conducted a traffic stop on NC 11. The driver, 71-year-old Tyrone Moore of Ayden, NC, was suspected of driving while impaired. After an investigation, officers arrested Moore and charged him with:

  • DWI (Driving While Impaired)

  • Driving While Revoked for a Previous DWI

  • Outstanding Order for Arrest from Pitt County for DWI
