Due to increased fire risk, the N.C. Forest Service has issued a ban on all open burning and has canceled all burning permits statewide effective at 5 p.m. November 29, 2021 until further notice.
North Carolina Forestry Service and Lenoir County Emergency Services have issued a burn ban effective at noon Monday, May 24, 2021 and shall remain in effect until further notice.
