Early voting in Lenoir County has seen a robust turnout as residents engage in the electoral process ahead of the upcoming election. From October 17 to 22, 2024, a total of 8,963 voters cast their ballots across various early voting sites, with daily participation reflecting patterns that suggest increased engagement during weekdays.
On Monday at a little after 5 p.m., Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to 3859 Pecan Grove Circle for a death investigation. Deputies arrived and located Xavier Branch, 32, deceased at the scene.
BJ Murphy speaks with incumbent Linda Rouse Sutton, who is vying to retain her position as Lenoir County Commissioner - At Large in the upcoming 2024 election. PINK HILL — The holiday season in Pink Hill will officially kick off with the annual Pink Hill Christmas Parade, scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 1, 2024, at 2 p.m. The beloved community event will feature a range of participants, including local businesses, schools, churches, classic cars, and non-profit organizations.

The Town of Maysville is pleased to announce the signing of a $1.3 million contract with S.T. Wooten, a respected construction company, for the most prominent street resurfacing project in the town’s history since the 1960s. The project will resurface 90% of the town’s streets and include widening select roads, enhancing safety and traffic flow. Work is set to begin on October 22, 2024.

PINK HILL — The annual Miss Merry Christmas Contest is back, marking a 60-year tradition of celebrating community service and holiday spirit among local young women. The contest, which focuses on fostering a sense of community involvement, will take place the Saturday before the Pink Hill Christmas Parade on Dec. 1, 2024.
