Snow Hill Primary Terrific Kid awards

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards.  Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal.  On Fridays, these students are presented with an award and are congratulated for their hard work.  Below are Snow Hill Primary's last Terrific Kid Awards!

Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging but it still affects seven million Americans and is the seventh leading cause of death in the U.S. Despite this, there is ongoing promising research into early diagnosis and prevention, making it possible for us to better understand this disease.

Snow Hill Man arrested following shots fired report

January 30, 2025 – At approximately 12:30 AM, Kinston Police Department’s D-Squad responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Jack Rountree. Upon arrival, officers made contact with four individuals in a vehicle. During the encounter, officers observed the front passenger, 19-year-old De’onta Dixon of Snow Hill, NC, reaching toward the vehicle’s floorboard.

Kinston’s Lilli Daughety and Rachel Noble shine at Distinguished Young Women of North Carolina Program

The Distinguished Young Women of North Carolina scholarship program wrapped up its 2025 competition at the Carolina Theatre of Greensboro on January 24 and 25, celebrating outstanding high school juniors from across the state. Among them, Lillian Daughety and Rachel Noble proudly represented Kinston and Lenoir County, earning notable distinctions in the statewide competition.
