Mary Neal Ranson Mills, age 97, of Kinston, NC, passed away suddenly but peacefully on July 1, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, July 8 at First Presbyterian Church of Kinston, 2101 North Herritage Street, with Pastor Travis Allen. The family will receive friends after the service.
Ruth Taylor Howard, 98, of Kinston, passed away, Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Healthcare. A Graveside Service will be conducted Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at 11:30am at Pinelawn Memorial Park with the Rev. David Harrington officiating. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home from 10:00 - 11:00am prior to the service.
Phyllis Taylor Jones, age 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2024, surrounded by her family. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2pm at The Way Church, 1205 Lynn Dr, Kinston, NC 28504.
Nancy “Boo” Hooker Manning, 86, died at home in Raleigh on Monday, June 24, after a brief illness. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 1 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Kinston with Rev. Travis Allen officiating.
Mrs. Mary Frances Lane Jones, age 93, passed away at her home Tuesday morning, June 25, 2024. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Thursday, June 27th, at the Chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastor Hank Jarman officiating. Committal Services will be held privately at the Jones Family Cemetery.
Richard Lee Dryden passed away on June 21, 2024 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville, NC after battling cancer. No service is planned at this time.

Herbert Taylor Sugg passed away at Cypress Glen on June 18, 2024, just four days prior to his 92nd birthday. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Kinston at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Pinelawn Memorial Park with Pastor Captain Joshua Smith of the Salvation Army in Kinston officiating.
Meta Mae Williams Kennedy, 92, passed away on May 30, 2024, at UNC Lenoir Hospital in Kinston, North Carolina. A Celebration of Life will be conducted Monday, June 3, 2024, at 11AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
