Additionally, Perry was selected to serve as the co-chair of the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Unemployment Insurance because of his extensive business background.
Keith King was sworn into office Wednesday afternoon at a specially-called meeting of the board. He replaces Chad Rouse, who tendered his resignation to the board earlier this week.

During todays Lenoir County Commissioner’s Meeting, the Lenoir County Commissioners voted unanimously to accept the resignation of Commissioner Chad Rouse. Immediately following the meeting, the clerk to the board published the notice for the special meeting.
