Pursuant to G.S. 115C-518 and 160A-269, the Lenoir County Board of Education hereby gives notice that it has received an offer to purchase the Teacher’s Memorial School property owned by the Lenoir County Board of Education. The offer to purchase is in the amount of Two Hundred Twenty Eight Thousand Dollars ($228,000.00). Notice is hereby given that prior to November 9, 2023, at 4:00 PM, any person may raise the bid by not less than ten percent (10%) of the first one thousand dollars ($1,000) and five percent (5%) of the remainder ($227,000). Therefore, the lowest acceptable upset bid is Two Hundred Thirty Nine Thousand Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($239,450.00).

Obituary: Wilbur Felton Eubanks

On Thursday morning October 26, 2023, at 3:00am Wilbur Felton Eubanks, 89, of Trenton, NC received his ultimate healing from an ongoing battle with COPD and a recent stroke. The Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov 1st at Kinston First Pentecostal Holiness Church located at 711 Phillips Rd with the Reverend Brian Rogers officiating. Visitation will follow the service.

Obituary - Nathan “Sig” Grady

Nathan “Sig” Grady, 88, of Kinston, NC went home to be with his Lord on October 27, 2023. A Funeral Service will be conducted Monday, October 30, 2023, at 3pm at Edwards Funeral Home, with Pastor Tim Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
