You don’t have to be Irish to get in on all of the fun celebrating St. Patrick’s day.   The holiday is celebrated on March 17th and began in Ireland as the feast of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, the date is the anniversary of St Patrick’s death in 461.  Irish immigrants brought the holiday to the United States and Americans were  introduced to the traditions of celebrating. 

Global TransPark Fuel Farm nears completion

By the end of 2024, major progress had been made on the new fuel farm at the North Carolina Global TransPark. Contractors completed tank coatings, pipe fabrication, and line connections. With tank crews demobilized, final grading, concrete, and asphalt work are underway. The project is expected to wrap up in early 2025.

Obituary: Alma Jenkins

Alma Gayle Heath Jenkins, cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 81. A celebration of Gayle’s life will be held Sunday, March 9, 2025, with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m., with funeral services at 4:00 p.m.
