Help Wanted: Foreign Language Interpreter II

As a member of the Department of Social Services with Lenoir County Government, you can make a difference! The agency is seeking candidates for a Foreign Language Interpreter II. Candidates in this classification are responsible for translating the English and Spanish languages between staff and clients. When not interpreting, employees will receive clients, visitors and other public constituents visiting the department for all programs and services offered. Employees must have good telephone etiquette and be able to work in noisy and sometime crowded environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Graduation from high school and two years of experience interpreting and translating English and Spanish.

• Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License

• Pass a criminal background check

• Must be of Good Moral Character
