Complaint leads to arrest of five on numerous drug charges

On Tuesday, Lenoir County Sheriff’s Office received a narcotics complaint from the public. Sheriff Jackie Rogers led an investigation — along with the Street Crimes and Rapid Response (SCARR) team and deputies from B Shift — at 3719 N.C. 58 South in Kinston. The investigation ended in the arrest of five individuals with numerous charges.  

Sheriff Rogers, the SCARR team and deputies encountered several individuals, including two who had outstanding warrants in Lenoir, Wilson and Onslow counties. A search warrant was issued and executed on the premises and trafficking amounts of opium/heroin were seized. Deputies also confiscated LSD, cocaine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and a stolen firearm. 

The following individuals were charged with the following crimes (in alphabetical order): 

MELVIN GREENE JR., 41, OF DEEP RUN: Outstanding order for arrest from Lenoir County for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine. As a result of the investigation, he was charged with possession of stolen firearm (Lenoir County), possession of firearm by felon, felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling /place for controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sale or deliver Schedule VI controlled substance. He received a $4,000 secured bond. 

HOLLY HILL JETT, 38, OF KINSTON: Felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance, trafficking opium/heroin, felony possession of LSD, felony possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sale or deliver Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She received a secured bond of $75,000.

KELLY JO MARTIN, 37, OF KINSTON: Possession of stolen firearm, possession of firearm by felon, felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling/place for controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sale or deliver Schedule VI controlled substance.  She received a secured bond of $60,000.

ARIEL MARIE RODRIGUEZ, 33 OF KINSTON: Outstanding order for arrest from Onslow County for driving while license revoked and outstanding order for arrest in Wilson County for driving while license revoked. As a result of the search warrant, she was charged with possession of stolen firearm (Lenoir County), possession of firearm by felon, felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling /place for controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sale or deliver Schedule VI controlled substance. She received a secured bond of $66,000.

MORGAN LYNN WILLIAMS, 31, OF KINSTON: Felony maintaining vehicle/dwelling /place for controlled substance, trafficking opium/heroin, felony possession of LSD, felony possession of cocaine, possession with the intent to manufacture, sale or deliver Schedule II controlled substance and resisting a public officer.  She received a 48-hour hold until first appearance. 

All five were arrested and housed in Lenoir County Detention Center.
