Snow Hill Primary "Terrific Kid" awards

Snow Hill Primary gives out a weekly award called "Terrific Kid" awards.  Each teacher at SHP chooses a student who has been responsible, shows great character, or has reached a personal goal.  On Fridays, these students are presented with an award and are congratulated for their hard work.  Below are Snow Hill Primary's last Terrific Kid Awards!

Former President Donald Trump is coming to Kinston

Former President Donald Trump, the Republican nominee for the upcoming election, is set to hold a rally in Kinston this Sunday. The event will take place at the Kinston Regional Jetport, a location where Trump previously held a rally in October 2016.

Details about the rally, including start time and ticket information, have not yet been released, but it has been reported that the gates open at 10:00 am and the event is at 2:00 pm. Local residents are encouraged to stay tuned for further announcements regarding this high-profile event.

Bucklesberry, Back in the Day: The Backcountry

An abundance of land awaited the earliest settlers who arrived in the unsettled backcountry of Bucklesberry in the early to mid-1700s. Defined by Historian and author Dr. Lindley S. Butler, PhD, backcountry was a "term used during the early settlement and colonial periods for the vast interior of North Carolina, located away from the coastline and including both the modern day Piedmont and Mountain regions."
