Mr. Gary Reynolds Askew, age 79, passed away at his home Friday evening, June 21st, with the family he so loved by his side. Funeral Services will be held graveside 10:30 AM Tuesday, June 25th, at the Mewborn Family Cemetery with Reverend Leon Grubbs and Reverend Percy Cunningham officiating.
Herbert Taylor Sugg passed away at Cypress Glen on June 18, 2024, just four days prior to his 92nd birthday. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Kinston at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

He departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2024, at CarolinaEast Health Systems in New Bern at the age of 75. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2024, at 6 pm at First Baptist Church, 2600 Rouse Road, Kinston, NC. The family invites you to join them for refreshments in the fellowship hall following the service.
Dr. Charles Leonidas Herring, 95, passed away on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice House in Goldsboro, NC. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, June 26 at 3:00 pm at Gordon Street Christian Church in Kinston, NC. A reception will be held afterwards at the Church Fellowship Hall.
Roger Allen Barnette, 70, passed away on June 10, 2024. A celebration of life will be held on June 22 in Kinston at Lenoir Community College in the Waller Building from 3-6pm.
