SNOW HILL - Greene Early College High School, Greene Central High School and Greene County Intermediate School each exceeded expected growth during the 2018-19 academic year.
Principals from the three schools received certificates for their achievements during the Greene County Board of Education meeting conducted at West Greene Elementary on Monday evening.
Dr. Patrick Miller, superintendent of Greene County Schools, recognized Greene Early College as a member of the 100 percent Graduation Club.
"Having a 100% graduation rate is the culmination of a community effort," said Rodney McNeill, principal at Greene Early College HS. "Beginning in pre-K, Greene County Schools places huge importance on giving students the best education possible. At the high school level, we reap the benefits of this work and we get to prepare students for the next chapter in their lives.
"So the one-hundred percent graduation rate for us means that we didn't lose anyone. It makes us proud and excited to get back to the work of trying to keep it there."
