Thomas Allen Meeks, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away on July 29th, 2024 in Kinston. In honor of Thomas Allen Meeks' extraordinary life, a Celebration of Life will be held at the Meeks home, 3009 Tacoma Drive, on Friday August 2nd from 4-6 p.m., where friends, family and loved ones are invited to gather and share memories of this remarkable man.
Robert (Bob) Lee Norville, 94, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, July 25, 2024. A graveside service will be held at Pinelawn Memorial Park on Sunday, July 28th at 3pm. The family is welcoming friends at the home of Robbie and Debbie Norville.
Luke Benjamin Thacker, 17, left his earthly home for his heavenly one on Sunday morning, July 21, 2024. A service of love and remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Kinston, NC, with Pastor Ben Thacker officiating. The family will receive friends for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at the Kennedy Home Gymnasium.
Kenneth Earl Garris, 75, of LaGrange went Home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. A private service will be held at a later date for the family.
Melba Gentry Alcock Ingles, 94, of Kinston, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at her home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Allen Ham officiating. Burial will follow the service at Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Winston Delano Sutton, known fondly as “W.D.” or “Shorty”,79, of Kinston, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 18th, 2024. A visitation will be held at the home on Sunday, July 21st from 1:00-3:00. His services are private.
Pamela “Pam” Jean Lanier Wurtz, 63, of Pink Hill passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at ECU Health Duplin Hospital. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Garner Funeral Home with Pastor Brandon Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held following the service.
Elizabeth Marie Price of Kinston, NC passed away peacefully on July 12th, 2024. The funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 19, at 11am at Bethel FWB Church. Burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

Funeral Services will be held 7 PM Friday, July 12th at the chapel of Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service with Pastor Jeff Hayes and Pastor Scott Hardy officiating. Committal Services will be held privately for the family at the Snow Hill Cemetery.
Willie Marvin Moore, 76, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. A celebration of life will be held at Hull Road Original Free Will Baptist Church in Arba on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastors Percy Cunningham and Johnny Wiggins officiating. The family will greet friends following the service in the Family Life Center. A private committal for the family will be held at East Carolina Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be conducted Friday, July 12, 2024, at 3PM at Westview Cemetery.
